FAQ

Common questions

Can you help if I have a UK LTD and a US LLC?

Yes. That is the situation we are set up for. One named advisor keeps both filing calendars in view, so Companies House and HMRC deadlines sit alongside your US federal and state obligations.

Can a non-resident form a US LLC?

Yes, non-residents can form a US LLC. You will normally also need an EIN, and many foreign-owned single-member LLCs must file Form 5472 with a pro forma Form 1120 each year. We confirm what applies to your entity before you commit.

Do I have to mail my original passport to get an ITIN?

Not necessarily. An ITIN is applied for on Form W-7 with proof of identity and foreign status. Certified copies from the issuing agency, or verification by an IRS-authorised Certifying Acceptance Agent, are alternatives to posting an original.

When do I need to register for VAT in the UK?

Registration is compulsory once your taxable turnover passes the VAT threshold. Some businesses register earlier, for example to reclaim input VAT. The right timing and scheme depend on your customers and costs.

Which accounting software do you work with?

We work with Xero, QuickBooks, Sage 50, FreeAgent, Dext, IRIS and TaxCalc, so you can usually keep the bookkeeping workflow you already have.

How much do your services cost?

We give a fixed-scope quote before any work starts, based on your entity, jurisdiction and the filings involved. Request a quote and you will know the price and timeline up front.

Tell us where you trade. We’ll map what comes next.
